Pseudochromis fridmani - T.B.
Pseudochromis fridmani, commonly known as the Orichid dottyback, is probably the most popular and well known dottyback. These little gems are bright purple with a little blueish on the head (eye and mouth usually) and a short dark stripe through their eye.
They're usually not really aggressive fish, but they do make a terratory and will defend this fiercely, even if the intruder is much larger. So although this fish won't need a large tank if kept alone, make sure the tank is large enough if combined with other fish. The tank should have enough space to provide the other fishes room to swim while avoiding the dottybacks territory. These fish can best be kept alone or as a proven pair. They are carnivores, so make sure to feed them a varied diet of meaty live and frozen food combined with good quality flakes and pellets.
This fish is Tank Bred and will adapts to your aquarium easier compared to a wild caught specimen!
