Cirripectes stigmaticus
Cirripectes stigmaticus, commonly known as the Red-streaked blenny, is a small/medium blenny. Anyone looking for an algae eating blenny should check this fish out! Their fire red spots and stripes on a dark body look like lava coming from a volcano. Some fishes have a lighter, more greenish, head and first part of the body, and fins can range from yellow-orange to red or dark.
These fish inhabit shallow reefs where they live solitary or in small groups in coral and algae rich areas. In an aquarium they're reef safe and a very good algae eater. They're quite territorial though, so best place them as one of the last fishes in the tank and only in a tank big enough to form a territory and leave room for the other fishes. Don't combine them with other blennies, unless you've a very large tank with many hiding spots. They feed mainly on algae and small invertebrates, so if there is little algae in the tank high quality algae flakes or pellets should be supplemented!
