Dendronepthea spp.

Dendronephthya spp. are stunning non-photosynthetic soft corals known for their highly branched, tree-like colonies and vibrant colors. Colonies can display shades of pink, red, orange, yellow, purple, and white, often creating a dramatic contrast in reef aquariums. Their delicate branches are covered with countless small polyps that extend to capture suspended food from the water, giving the coral a soft, fluffy appearance.

Care in Aquariums:
• Lighting: Low; lighting is not essential for nutrition
• Flow: Strong, turbulent flow
• Placement: Areas with continuous water movement to support feeding and prevent detritus accumulation
• Feeding: Requires frequent feeding of phytoplankton, zooplankton, rotifers, and other fine suspended foods
