Gorgonia spp. (Colored)

Gorgonia spp. (Colored) are attractive branching soft corals known for their fan-like or tree-shaped growth and vibrant coloration. Colonies can display shades of purple, red, orange, yellow, and pink, creating a striking contrast against live rock and other corals. Their numerous polyps extend into the water column to capture suspended food, while the flexible branches sway gracefully in the current, adding height and movement to the reef aquarium.

Care in Aquariums:
• Lighting: Low to moderate
• Flow: Moderate to strong, turbulent flow
• Placement: Mid to upper rockwork in areas with good water movement
• Feeding: Primarily photosynthetic in many species, although some are non-photosynthetic. Benefits from occasional feedings of phytoplankton and fine particulate foods.
