Lobophytum spp. (Green)

Lobophytum spp., commonly known as Leather Corals or Devil’s Hand Corals, are hardy soft corals valued for their broad, fleshy lobes and durable nature. Colonies form thick, finger-like or lobed structures covered with small polyps that extend during the day, giving the coral a soft, textured appearance. Colors typically range from cream, tan, and brown to green and yellow. The tips of the extended polyps are often white or fluorescent green, creating a striking contrast. Their resilience and adaptability make them excellent additions to both beginner and advanced reef aquariums.

• Lighting: Moderate to high
• Flow: Moderate to strong
• Placement: Lower to mid rockwork; allow room for colony growth
• Feeding: Primarily photosynthetic but benefits from occasional phytoplankton or fine particulate coral foods
