Acanthophyllia deshayesiana (Bleeding Apple)

Acanthophyllia deshayesiana is a large-polyp stony (LPS) coral prized for its vibrant, fluorescent colors and striking, fleshy polyps. Often called an “donut or meat” coral due to its intense coloration, it displays a circular, plate-like shape with a prominent oral disc that expands dramatically in the water. Colors can range from bright reds and pinks to greens, blues, and purples, often with contrasting centers, making it a stunning centerpiece for any reef tank.
