Acanthurus maculiceps
Acanthurus maculiceps, commonly known as the white-freckled surgeonfish, is a large surgeonfish which needs plenty of swimming space and clean water to thrive. It usually lives solitary and can be aggressive towards other fish, especially other tangs and food competitors. With it's very pronounced mouth and freckled face it something different than the usual tangs.
Like other tangs, it will eat meaty foods, but it's important to make sure it can graze on algae/seaweed the entire day to make sure it will stay healthy. So feed flakes/pellets multiple times a day and make sure there is always seaweed available.
