Ostorhinchus hartzfeldii
Ostorhinchus hartzfeldii, commonly known as the Hartzfeld's cardinalfish, is a friendly schooling fish. Juveniles have multiple thin white horizontal lines, but when they grow older these lines fade and only the one on their back stays, as does the black spot in front of the caudal fin. Like other Ostorhincus, hartzfeldii is also found around long spines sea urchins.
Like most Apogonidae, they can be kept as a couple, but in our opinion they look far better when kept in a school.
