Congrogradus subducens
Congrogradus subducens, commonly known as the Carpet eel blenny, is, unlike the common name suggests, a large dottyback. Their colour is variable and can range from brown to yellow or the more common green. Over their base colour they're covered in beige/brown spots and small blotches. They can also change colour so their colour in your tank will depend upon their mood and the colour of their surroundings.
These fish inhabit coastal waters where they hide between rocks or corals and can even be found in brackish waters. They live usually solitary and can best only be housed with larger fish that don't fit their mouth but do leave this eel blenny alone. Feed them a varied diet of meaty foods like mussel, shrimp and small fishes. Do make sure your tank is fully covered because otherwise they will escape the tank sooner or later!
