Melichthys niger
Melichthys niger, commonly known as the Black triggerfish, is a large triggerfish very similar to the smaller M. indicus. It has a lighter body compared to M. indicus, more like a bluiesh purple covered in dark red spots, which make up lines. It does have the white stripes at the base of the dorsal and anal fin, but the stripe in de caudal fin is much more faint. Most individuals have an orangish patch in front of the eyes on the head. Combined with the unusual triggerfish shape and graceful swimming, a lot of people are attracted to this fish.
Remember it isn't reef safe though! It mainly feeds on calcareous algae and zooplanton, but might damage corals as well. It can also be agressive to other fishes, so make sure you pick the other fishes with care!
