Melichthys vidua
Melichthys vidua, commonly known as the Pinktail triggerfish, is a medium-large triggerfish. It has a dark brown to grey body color with clearly marked scales. Their eyes are yellow to orange and their mouth is yellow, as are the pectoral fins. The anal and dorsal fin are white (as is the base of the caudal fin) with a black edge on it. But the most distinct feature is the pink caudal fin. Combined with the unusual triggerfish shape and graceful swimming, a lot of people are attracted to this fish.
Remember it isn't reef safe though! Their diet consists mainly of algae and detritus, but it also eats crustaceans, octopuses, sponges, and fishes and can nip at corals. It can also be agressive to other fishes, so make sure you pick the other fishes with care!
