Ostorhinchus margaritophorus
Ostorhinchus margaritophorus, commonly known as the Red-striped cardinalfish, is a friendly schooling fish. It's one of the smaller and more colorful Ostorhincus species, making it a perfect fish for our aquaria. It has reddish stripes on a white body and some blueish-white thin lines. One white line is spotted, making it quite distinct from the other members of the family.
Like most Apogonidae, they can be kept as a couple, but in our opinion they look far better when kept in a school.
