Features:
Ventilated bioreactor system for reducing nutrient concentrations in aquariums
Due to its compact size, the BIO-ACTIF REACTOR 5000 can be easily positioned over the filter sump or the aquarium.
The capacity of the reactor is dimensioned for 5 l of filter material, so it is suitable for aquariums holding up to 1500 liters to reduce nutrient concentrations. Water flows around the reactor chamber without channeling, guaranteeing optimum availability of oxygen for microbiological processes of the fill material. Hence, anaerobic conditions are prevented and ammonium, among other things, is eliminated as quickly as possible.
Optimal results are achieved when used in combination with biodegradable Tropic Marin® NP-BACTO-TRICKS.

How to use:
We recommend using Tropic Marin® NP-BACTO-TRICKS as fill material for the BIO-ACTIF REACTOR 5000. The ventilated bioreactor can also be used with zeolite or other molecular sieves. Please observe the corresponding manufacturer’s specifications. We recommend operating the BIO-ACTIF REACTOR 5000 at a flow rate of approx. 1500 l/h (using a SICCE SYNCHRA SILENT 1.5, for example; a circulation pump is not included in the delivery).
The inlet of the filter can be connected via a ½“ female thread on the cover to PVC tubing (not included in delivery).
