Description

DKI Marine is a complete food that has been developed to meet the nutritional needs of omnivorous marine fish in coral reef biotopes.

DKI Marine comes in the form of soft, neutrally buoyant granules.

DKI Marine is composed mainly of freeze-dried shrimp meal ( Palaemonetes varians ).

The microalgae ( Nannochloropsis, Tetraselmis, Isochrysis, and Phaeodactylum ) included in its formulation provide fatty acids, all-natural vitamins, functional compounds, and bioactive ingredients that preserve and enhance the overall well-being of marine fish.

The morphological and organoleptic characteristics of the product, together with the high biological value proteins, due to their constitution in essential amino acids and the proportion between them, the composition of their fatty acids, and the fully bioavailable micronutrients involved in the metabolic pathways of fish, make DKI marine granules a feeding system based on a holistic concept of the nutrition of marine coral reef fish.

Storage. Store DKI Marine in a dark, dry, and cool place. The storage temperature should not exceed 25°C. In summer, if temperatures are higher, it is recommended to store it in a climate-controlled room.

Composition:

Aquatic invertebrates ( Palaemonetes varians ), Fish oil. Algae: Macroalgae ( Ulva, Chondrus ) and Microalgae ( Nannochloropsis, Tetraselmis, Phaeodactylum, Isochrysis ).

Dosage:

Administer two or three times a day in quantities that can be consumed within two minutes of administration.

Instructions for use:

Add the granules directly to the aquarium, either manually or using an automatic feeder. The granules can be pre-moistened with aquarium water to accelerate their sinking and thus facilitate feeding for benthic fish.

Why microalgae?

Tetraselmis chuii:

  • Due to its high content of antioxidants Superoxide Dismutase, Catalase and Glutathione Peroxidase.
  • High digestibility for filter feeders and zooplankton.
  • It provides a high content of polysaccharides, polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), pigments and other lipid compounds.

Phaeodactylum tricornutum:

  • Due to its high content of beta-glucans, which improves the immune system of fish, making them more resistant to parasites and diseases.
  • Contains protein, carbohydrates, and lipids, rich in antioxidants, carotenoids such as fucoxanthin which helps process fat and prevents its accumulation via tissue.
  • It increases the oxidation of fatty acids and decreases the content of hepatic lipids (fatty livers) so common in fish.
  • High in EPA and DHA.

What makes it unique:

  • DKI Marine has a distinctive smell of crustaceans and algae that makes it an irresistible attraction for your fish.
  • DKI Marine is a complete food and therefore no additional supplementation is necessary to maintain the optimal health of the animals for which it is intended, under normal conditions.
  • It does not contain plant or animal components of terrestrial origin, artificial attractants, artificial preservatives, or synthetic products.
  • DKI Marine is a food prepared mainly from freeze-dried crustaceans and, as it does not contain fish skeletons, it is a food with a very low phosphate content in relation to its protein content.
  • A unique olfactory call in fish.

This receptor picks up the smell of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), known primarily for transporting energy within cells, but is also a component of fish prey, present in our raw materials such as shrimp and plankton.

ATP induces neuronal activity in the nose of fish; the adenosine A2c receptor has a very specific function in lower aquatic vertebrates, precisely to mediate foraging behavior towards attractive molecules.

Nannochloropsis gaditana:

  • It provides a lipid profile very rich in EPA and ARA.
  • High content of high quality Omega 3 Fatty Acids (EPA).
  • Source of natural vitamins and antioxidants.

Isochrysis galbana:

  • High content of fats rich in essential polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3), mainly DHA.
  • High protein content.
  • Source of natural pigments such as lutein, zeaxanthin, astaxanthin, etc.
