Checker photometer for fluoride LR
HI729-11 Details:
The HI-729 Checker® HC (Handheld Colorimeter) provides a simple, accurate and cost-effective way to measure fluoride.
Fluoride is one of the few chemicals that have been shown to cause significant effects in people through drinking water. Fluoride has beneficial effects on teeth at low concentrations in drinking water, but excessive exposure to fluoride in drinking water, or in combination with exposure to fluoride from other sources, can give rise to a number of adverse effects.
The HI-729 pocket checker is a simple and accurate way to measure low ranges of fluoride.
Water fluoridation is the controlled addition of fluoride to a public water supply to reduce tooth decay. Fluoridated water operates on tooth surfaces: in the mouth it creates low levels of fluoride in saliva which reduces the rate at which tooth enamel de-mineralises and increases the rate at which it re-mineralises in the early stages of cavities.
A 1994 World Health Organisation expert committee suggested a level of fluoride from 0.5 to 1.0 mg/L, depending on climate. Bottled water typically has unknown fluoride levels, and some domestic water filters remove some or all fluoride.

HI729-11 Details:
The Fluoride Low Range Checker® HC Calibration Check Set – HI-729-11 provides a simple solution to validating the calibration of the Fluoride Low Range Checker ® HC – HI-729 that has a range of 0.00 to 2.00 ppm (mg/L).
Hanna optional Checker HC Calibration Sets provide a simple solution to validating your Checker HC. Each high quality set of standards is manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility and comes supplied with a Certificate of Analysis. The certificate of Analysis provides the lot number, reference values and expiry date to provide traceability when certifying the Checker HC.
HI-729-11 is a high-quality set of standards that allows users to validate the Fluoride Low Range Checker ® HC – HI-729 calibration. The HI-729-11 includes one sealed cuvette for zero ppm fluoride and one cuvette that is tinted to an equivalent 1.00 +/- 0.10 ppm fluoride sample @ 25°C. The calibration check set is produced using reagent grade chemicals in a temperature controlled environment.
HI729-26 Details:
These high-quality reagents are clearly marked with the lot number and expiry date on the bottle for traceability.
The HI-729-26 are high-quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing for users to achieve fast and accurate measurements with their Fluoride Low Range Checker® HC. These reagents follow the SPADNS Method in which the reaction between fluoride and the reagent causes a colourless complex in the sample. By simply adding 2 mL of SPADNS reagent to two cuvettes, and subsequently 8 mL of deionised water to one and 8 mL of sample in the other, the reaction will take place and the HI-729 will determine the concentration from the colour that is produced. The results will be displayed in ppm of fluoride. These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected range of 0.00 to 2.00 ppm (mg/L) fluoride.
