HI701-11 Details:
The Free Chlorine Checker HC® Calibration Check Set – HI-701-11 provides a simple solution to validating the Free Chlorine Checker® HC – HI-701 in the range of 0.00 to 2.50 ppm (mg/L).
Standard value of 1.00 +/- 0.05 ppm free chlorine @ 25°C
HI-701-11 is a high-quality set of calibration standards that allows users to validate the Free Chlorine Checker® HC – HI-701. The HI-701-11 includes one sealed cuvette for zero ppm free chlorine and one cuvette that is tinted to an equivalent 1.00 +/- 0.05 ppm free chlorine sample @ 25°C.
This high-quality set of standards is supplied with a Certificate of Analysis. The Certificate of Analysis provides the lot number, reference values and expiry date to provide traceability when certifying the Checker® HC.
HI701-25 Details:
The HI-701-25 are high-quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing for users to achieve fast and accurate measurements with their Free Chlorine Checker® HC.
The 25 pack of reagents is for use with the HI-701 Free Chlorine Pocket Checker.
These reagents follow the DPD Method in which the reaction between chlorine and reagent causes a pink tint in the sample. By simply adding the packet of HI-701-25 reagent, the reaction will take place and the HI-701 will determine the concentration from the colour that is produced. The results will be displayed in ppm (mg/L) of free chlorine. These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected range of 0.00 to 2.50 ppm free chlorine.
Tip for an accurate measurement
It is important that the sample does not contain any debris.
Whenever the cuvette is placed into the measurement cell, it must be dry outside and completely free of fingerprints, oil or dirt. Wipe it thoroughly with HI-731318 or a lint-free cloth prior to insertion.
Shaking the cuvette can generate bubbles, causing higher readings. To obtain accurate measurements, remove such bubbles by swirling or by gently tapping the cuvette.
Do not let the reacted sample stand for too long after reagent is added, or accuracy will be lost.
After the reading, it is important to discard the sample immediately, otherwise the glass might become permanently stained.
