Phosphorus ULR Checker
Details HI736:
Ideal for salt water aquariums and coral reef tanks. Specially designed for salt water, the HI-736 Phosphorus Checker will measure vital phosphorus levels - even at exceptionally low range. Checker®HC is supplied with reagents for 6 tests. Use code HI-736-25 (25 tests) for future purchases.
- 0 to 200 ppb
Specially designed for salt water, the HI-736 Phosphorus Checker will measure vital phosphorus levels - even at exceptionally low range.
Phosphorus (as phosphate) is introduced through feed, decaying plant and animal waste and even tap water. However phosphate is a driving factor in excess algae growth and without adequate checks, the phosphate can quickly become so abundant that it turns into a real nuisance.
For healthy aquatic life it is therefore important to keep levels as close to zero as possible. The Hanna Checker now makes it possible for salt water fish enthusiasts to maintain ultra low levels at genuinely affordable prices.

HI736-11 Details:
The Phosphorus Ultra Low Range Checker® HC Calibration Check Set provides a simple solution to validating the Phosphorus Ultra Low Range Checker® HC – HI-736 that has a range of 0 to 200 ppb as phosphorus.
Standard value of 100 +/- 10 ppb phosphorus @ 25°C.
Each high quality set of standards is manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility and comes supplied with a Certificate of Analysis.
HI-736-11 is a high-quality set of calibration standards that allows users to validate the Phosphorus Ultra Low Range Checker® HC – HI-736. The HI-736-11 includes one sealed cuvette for zero ppb phosphorus and one cuvette that is tinted to an equivalent 100 +/- 10 ppb phosphorus sample @ 25°C. The calibration check set is produced using reagent grade chemicals in a temperature controlled environment.
HI736-25 Details:
The HI-736-25 are the replacement reagents for the HI-736 Phosphorus Ultra Low Range Checker® HC.
The HI-736-25 are high-quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing for users to achieve fast and accurate measurements with their Phosphorus Ultra Low Range Checker® HC. These reagents follow the Ascorbic Acid Method in which the reaction between phosphorus and reagents causes a blue tint in the sample. By simply adding the packet of HI-736-25 reagent to the sample, the reaction will take place and the HI-736 will determine the concentration from the colour that is produced. The results will be displayed in ppb of phosphorus. These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected range of 0 to 200 ppb phosphorus.
Tip for an accurate measurement
It is important that the sample does not contain any debris.
Whenever the cuvette is placed into the measurement cell, it must be dry outside and completely free of fingerprints, oil or dirt. Wipe it thoroughly with HI-731318 or a lint-free cloth prior to insertion.
Shaking the cuvette can generate bubbles, causing higher readings. To obtain accurate measurements, remove such bubbles by swirling or by gently tapping the cuvette.
Do not let the reacted sample stand for too long after reagent is added, or accuracy will be lost.
After the reading, it is important to discard the sample immediately, otherwise the glass might become permanently stained.
