HI774 Details:

The HI-774 Ultra Low Range Phosphate Checker® HC (Handheld Colorimeter) provides a simple, accurate and cost effective way to measure phosphate from 0.00 to 0.90 ppm.

Phosphate is an important parameter to measure in aquaculture and aquariums. Levels that are too high can lead to extensive algae growth, depleted dissolved oxygen levels, and ultimately can be fatal to many types of fish and aquatic life.

Designed as a more accurate alternative to chemical test kits, the HI-774 provides quick, accurate results in a few easy steps (see below).

Tips for an accurate measurement

It is important that the sample does not contain any debris.

Whenever the cuvette is placed into the measurement cell, it must be dry outside, and completely free of fingerprints, oil and dirt. Wipe it thoroughly with HI-731318 or a lint–free cloth prior to insertion.

Shaking the cuvette can generate bubbles, causing higher readings. To obtain accurate measurements, remove bubbles by swirling or be gently tapping the cuvette.

Do not let the reacted sample stand for too long after reagent is added as accuracy will be affected.

After the reading, it is important to immediately discard the sample otherwise the glass might become permanently stained.

The HI-774-11 Phosphate Ultra Low Range Checker® HC Calibration Check Set provides a simple solution to validating the Phosphate Ultra Low Range Checker® HC – HI-774 that has a range of 0.00 to 0.90 ppm as phosphate.

This high-quality set of standards comes supplied with a Certificate of Analysis. The Certificate of Analysis provides the lot number, reference values and expiry date for traceability when certifying the Checker® HC.

HI-774-11 is a high-quality set of calibration standards that allows users to validate the Phosphate Ultra Low Range Checker® HC – HI-774. The HI-774-11 includes one sealed cuvette for zero ppm phosphate and one cuvette that is tinted to a specific value. The calibration check set is produced using reagent grade chemicals in a temperature controlled environment.

HI774-25 Details:

HI-774-25 Reagents for the HI-774 Marine phosphate ULR Checker HC Colorimeter, 25 tests

The HI-774-25 are high-quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing for users to achieve fast and accurate measurements with their Phosphate Ultra Low Range Checker® HC.

These reagents follow the Ascorbic Acid Method in which the reaction between phosphate and reagents causes a blue tint in the sample.

By simply adding the packet of HI-774-25 reagent to the sample, the reaction will take place and the HI-774 will determine the concentration from the colour that is produced.

The results will be displayed in ppb of phosphate. These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected range of 0.00 to 0.90 ppm phosphate.
