Fluorine is a halogen that primarily strengthens and hardens calcium-rich skeletons. The trace element is important for metabolism and growth, and it also has an inhibitory effect on bacteria and algae. It also affects the blue coloration of many corals. It is found in the sea in low concentration levels of 1.2-1.5 mg/l (ppm). In seawater, fluorine is found in the form of fluoride. This element cannot be detected with the ICP analysis and must be measured separately via IC/ISE/HSA.

10 ml per 100 l/ 26 US-gal. aquarium volume increases the fluoride content by 0.2 mg/l (ppm).

Maximum dosage: 20 ml per 100 l/ 26 US-gal. (adding 0.4 mg/l (ppm)) daily.
