Nano aquariums have become well-established in the area of seawater aquaristics. A small, decorative aquarium does not require high-tech equipment or intensive daily care. With the NANO Shake & Make Set from Tropic Marin^® it is furthermore possible to change the water easily and quickly using a space-saving, 10-litre foldable canister, pre-filled with 360 grams of Tropic Marin^® PRO-REEF NANO Sea Salt.

You only need to add RO/DI water to the foldable canister and shake it well, and voilà, the perfect seawater is ready for changing the water in a matter of seconds. Plus, with 90 gram refill bags of Tropic Marin^® PRO-REEF NANO Sea Salt, the canister can be used again and again.

How to use:

Simply add 10 liters of RO/DI water a temperature of 73-77°F / 23-25°C to the NANO Shake & Make container, shake it well, and the perfect seawater is ready in a matter of seconds. The seawater prepared in this manner can be used as soon as the salt has been completely dissolved and once the solution is clear. The specific gravity of the sea salt solution should range from 1.025 to 1.027 (at 73-77°F / 23-25°C), corresponding to a salinity level of 32-35 ‰ (psu), and the pH-value should be in the range of 8.0 – 8.4.

A weekly, partial water change, replacing 10-20 % of the total water volume with Tropic Marin^® PRO-REEF NANO, will help to maintain the water quality that your livestock needs for good health.

The commercially available 90 gram bags of Tropic Marin^® PRO-REEF NANO Sea Salt are used for refilling the container. One bag of PRO-REEF NANO Sea Salt makes 2.5 liters of PRO-REEF seawater.

To make 10 liters of seawater, add 4 bags of Tropic Marin^® PRO-REEF NANO Sea Salt to the rinsed foldable container. Then proceed as described above.

Application: For nano reef tanks with higher calcium requirements. To maintain the alkalinity in a 6-8° dKH range; particularly suitable when using a calcium reactor.
