Zeolite-based probiotic filtration has gained strong support in recent years and rightly so. Using the nutrient processing properties of selective bacterial strains, as well as a substrate that facilitates their metabolic needs, zeolite-based probiotic filtration effectively creates Ultra Low Nutrient (ULN) conditions that are most similar to reef environments. Vertex Rx-Z Reactors make it easier than ever to bring the benefits of this method to your reef.

Concept
Vertex Zeolite reactors are equipped with dual chamber stirrers to effectively eliminate jamming and reduce wear. Furthermore, the combination of angular water injection as well as the concave shape of the inner base facilitates circular movement in the lower chamber. This in exchange will reduce the canalization effect and ensure an even distribution of the current through all slots of the perforated plate.

Construction
Reliable and functional design, assembled with high-quality acrylic, PVC lid and basis for a more durable design, high-quality fittings and titanium screws, reflects quality as well as elegance. All components are processed internally using precise CNC machines for better quality and consistency throughout the unit.

Use and maintenance
Rx-Z reactors are designed for ease of use. The acrylic cover nestles in a seated O-ring, allowing a leak-free seal and effortless removal. Base-mounted pump design can be easily detached from the unit via a disconnection from the real ball valve. Aboard the dosing port, dosing of probiotic additives is effortless, while they are immediately available for the bacteria in the reactor. Rx-Z reactors can be completely dismantled for thorough maintenance.
