AMTRA SKIMMER HANG ON 100 is a compact and elegant external “backpack” skimmer for marine aquariums up to 100 liters. This filtering device is useful for solving water pollution problems caused by the accumulation of proteins and polluting substances. Indispensable for coral reef aquariums, it is also highly recommended for aquariums where only saltwater fish are housed.

To complete the chemical filtration of the water in the skimmer there is also a special activated carbon cartridge (it is recommended to rinse this cartridge every 7-10 days and to replace it completely every 15-20 days). While a sponge will help both to prevent air bubbles from going into the aquarium and to complete the biological filtration of the water.
Equipped with a special needle impeller to create very fine air bubbles and to optimize their mixing with water in order to obtain a performing skimming.

Extremely easy to assemble and put into operation, sold in Plug & Play format: place the skimmer on the edge of the aquarium taking care to immerse the suction tube protected by the specific grid correctly in water. Remove the collection cup and fill the skimmer body with aquarium water. Put the collection cup back in place and connect the plug to the power supply. The pump will start starting to suck water from the aquarium. It will take a few minutes for the tube to be completely clogged and the water flow constant. To facilitate this operation, it is necessary to completely close the air regulation tap located inside the collection cup. Once the flow of water in the filter is constant, it will be possible to adjust the skimming by acting on the tap to increase or decrease the quantity of air sucked.
