Pseudochromis springeri

Pseudochromis springeri, commonly known as the Blue-striped dottyback is a small dottyback. Their torpedo shaped body is very dark grey, almost black and on their head run two horizontal electric blue stripes till behind the gills.

They're usually not really aggressive fish, but they do make a terratory and will defend this fiercely, even if the intruder is much larger. So although this fish won't need a large tank if kept alone, make sure the tank is large enough if combined with other fish. The tank should have enough space to provide the other fishes room to swim while avoiding the dottybacks territory. These fish can best be kept alone or as a proven pair. They are carnivores, so make sure to feed them a varied diet of meaty live and frozen food combined with good quality flakes and pellets.
