Salarias fasciatus

Salarias fasciatus, commonly known as the Jewelled blenny, is a well-known medium-sized blenny. The greenish-brown mottled pattern make it blend in with the reef. But this fish will usually soon become quite bold making it easy to spot.

They usually live solitary on dead corals in silty bays and lagoons where algae is plentiful. They can best be kept alone or as a mated pair. They feed mainly on algae and can best be fed with high quality algae flakes and pellets even if there is algae in the tank!
