Zoanthus corals, or Zoas, are some of the most colorful and popular soft corals in the reef hobby. They come in an incredible range of colors and patterns — from bright neon greens and oranges to deep purples and blues — making them a favorite for creating vibrant reef displays. They do best under moderate lighting and water flow, and they’ll quickly form beautiful colonies that cover your rocks with color.

Care in Aquariums:

• Lighting: Moderate to high — Zoas love good light to bring out their colors.
• Water Flow: Moderate — enough to keep debris off but not too strong.
• Placement: Depending on the type - lower to middle or top areas of the tank. They spread easily, so give them space to grow.
• Feeding: Mostly photosynthetic, but they can benefit from occasional coral foods or fine plankton.
