Assessor flavissimus - T.B.

Assessor flavissimus, commonly known as Yellow devilfish, is a small colourful basslet. These fish are entirely yellow with a red rim on the anal and dorsal fin and through the eye. A little blue can be seen in the eyes and on the outer edges of the fins sometime.

In nature these fishes are found in groups hiding in caves most of the time, often swimming up side down under a large ledge. In our aquaria they can be territorial so they can best be kept alone or as a proven pair unless you've a large tank. In that case, try to make a large cave and a group will be an amazing addition. Towards other fish they're usually quite friendly but be careful with other basslets or similar shaped fishes.

These fish are carnivores, so make sure to feed them a varied diet of small meaty live and frozen foods untill they're settled in your aquarium. Once settled, they should usually start eating flakes and pellets as well.

This fish is Tank Bred and will readily eat dry food and adapts to your aquarium easier compared to a wild caught specimen!
